Short Term Load/Demand Forecast - Product Overview

FORECASTING

1 min read

Product Brief

Bright Grid Analytics' load/demand forecasting models are powered by comprehensive data, including:

  • Meter Data: Individual or aggregated meter/load data, meter forward counts, usage outlook, and

  • Weather data (historic and forecasted), covering radiation, cloud cover, temperature, wind speed, precipitation, snow, and more

The results integrate third-party weather forecasts from meteorological as well as artificial intelligence weather models sourced from top-tier vendors. Optimal weather points and their weights are determined based on the customer’s meter location and historical load.

Starting with individual meters, Bright Grid Analytics employs advanced data cleaning methods to resolve erroneous inputs before modeling. Machine learning techniques identify patterns and correlations among variables. The models are assessed for performance every week, with weights adjusted for accuracy. These weighted models are combined into a single, precise, meter-based demand forecast.

Bright Grid Analytics' Short Term Load/Demand Forecast offers a 7-15-day forward-looking forecast for individual or aggregated meters.

Providing high accuracy and valuable insights, Bright Grid Analytics supports energy market stakeholders in managing risks related to financial trading, load management, and demand forecasting.
